Big Names In Internet Marketing Caught Cheating
On a daily basis we all get promotional emails from a variety of internet marketers. Some giving out good information, tips, tactics and advice. From time to time you can also expect a promotional email as they try to convince you to purchase a product or service.
Nothing wrong with an occasional promotional email. But I absolutely hate the idea of any internet marketer trying to sell me something that they have not even tried out. How dare they recommend that I spend my cash and let them have a commission on a product or service they know little about.
Thing is, how can we tell when the big names in internet marketing are actually promoting a product or service to us that they genuinely believe will benefit us? How do we know that they have researched and tested the product and think it represents value for money? How can we tell if they are just getting some basic info on the product and emailing that out to us all, trying to convince us to buy into something they know little or nothing about?
Well fact is they expect us to trust them. After all we get a convincing email that seems to says all the right words for anything that is being promoted. They always mention all the benefits and why we really need what’s on offer.
Well, the very first thing you should do is make sure that you are not just getting all your internet marketing emails from just one or two well known names. I would recommend that you sign up to at least 30 or 50 email lists of the big marketers, if you are not already doing so. Believe me, you won’t stay signed up to all their lists. After a few weeks the quantity of newsletters and email lists you decide to stay signed up to will get smaller and smaller all the time, if you follow my simple little guideline………..
When the emails start coming in promoting any product launch, check over the email content of each. Take note of those that are exactly, or almost exactly the same and unsubscribe. Keep note of the marketers name and never sign up to anything from them ever again.
Fact is when any internet marketer signs up to any joint venture for any product launch coming up, they will almost always be supplied with a few pieces of promotional material. That will normally consist of a few banners, some text about the product and a few sample email templates that are designed to be sent out to the marketers email lists. Now, anyone who would consider themselves a true internet marketer, would always make sure that they have got themselves an evaluation copy of the product they are considering promoting to their list before they actually do so. Any big name in the internet marketing game can afford to pay the full price for an evaluation copy of any product. However, for the most part it is offered free to these people.
Now think about this for one minute. A big name in internet marketing has got access to a product they may wish to promote to their list. If they were genuine and had one single ounce of consideration for their list members they would at least check the product over before recommending it. If however, they were nothing more than greedy pieces of scum, that had absolutely no respect for any of their list members who have been providing them with an incredible lifestyle, then they would not bother. In fact they would not even bother to read up on the product and write out a convincing email to their list members. Instead they would simply take the example email copy provided by the product owner and mail that out to their list members instead. Now when an internet marketers does that, especially a big name in the internet marketing game, it is nothing less than pathetic.
As internet marketers, we all know that you should never recommend anything to your list members without researching it well first. I don’t give a damn how good the reputation of the product owner is. The best product creators on the planet are capable of producing the occasional piece of crap from time to time. Most of them are prepared to admit that fact. So it goes without saying, never recommend anything to your list before checking it over first and understanding how it works. If you do, you have absolutely no respect for any of your list members.
Every week I catch out lots of internet marketers doing this. I stay signed up to lots of newsletters and lists of a wide variety of internet marketers, both good and bad. We can always learn from our peers. Today alone I received 23 emails promoting a product launch. 12 of those emails had almost exactly identical content. They were basically just copy and paste jobs, with a bit of added text. Over 50% of those internet marketers that have me on their lists decided to just send out a basic example email from the joint venture program in the hope I will buy through their link and earn them a commission. There were a few very big names in amongst those 12. I was disgusted and decided to try and get a joint venture with this product, only so I could double check the example promotional material for myself. Turns out those lazy, cheating B%$&!$ had done just exactly that. They had copied the example email exactly and sent it out to their list members. Obviously they had not bothered to test the product out. They had not even bothered to write up a small report on it, so they could email their list with their findings. No, they just signed up to the joint venture, copied the example email and sent it out to their lists.
So what was the product? It was Traffic Anarchy. Remember of course, just because these internet marketers had been lazy does not mean that the product is not worth buying. I am not yet promoting the product to any of my lists. But that is only because I have just quickly checked it over and not fully tested it out yet. Remember I did get 23 emails today about this product launch. 12 of them p%$$&@ me off big time. But the other 11 were genuine. Some did take the time out to actually show some of the features and benefits and there were bits of proof on a couple of them from some testing. So all in all, the product does seem to stack up quite well for the small price tag. But for just now, I will let you be the judge of whether or not Traffic Anarchy is something that you would find beneficial or not, if you wish to check it out.
So my advice is of course as mentioned earlier, is to always check for duplicate content in emails promoting products. As soon as it happens you know you cannot trust that marketer and you should get of their list. Watch out instead for emails from internet marketers that give you good information on products, long with examples of what benefits the product may have for you. Expect them to have already tested the product and show you some results. There are good genuine internet marketers out there. Not as many as we would like there to be though.
The biggest question of course, is what kind of internet marketer are you? As an internet marketer, if you have not already been emailing list members promoting products, you will no doubt be doing so in the future, at some point. Always remember to be genuine and respect your list members. These are the people that will provide you with the kind of lifestyle you want. Each one of them is precious and should be treated as such
