Obviously, the more people on your list that read your emails, the more opportunity you have to gain sales when you are promoting products. These days with most of your list members already receiving many mailings on a daily basis from other internet marketers, it is not surprising that it is getting more and more difficult for many to even get their emails opened.
While a great title for your email in the subject line will at least help you stand a chance of it actually getting opened, there is little guarantee that the list member will go much further than the first few words, unless you have a killer first line. Even that can only hold their attention for another line or two. So you need a solution to ensure that you get the maximum readership possible.
The solution is a simple one. Rather than come up with a killer opening statement and try to hold the readers attention, what you want to do is give them am opening preview. Right at the top of your email write a short one or two paragraph preview of what your email is actually about.

By giving your readers the opportunity to know exactly what your email is all about, you are letting them decide for themselves if that content is of interest to them or not. Of course, it is up to you to be as convincing as possible within that opening preview of why they should read your email. If they decide the content is not of interest, there is no loss, as they would never have made a purchase on any product you were trying to promote anyway.
A good opening preview will get your emails fully read by a lot more list members than normal, when you first start doing this, as long as you make that preview compelling. Once your list members start to realize that all your emails have a preview, you will end up with a higher and higher percentage of your emails being opened. You will gain more full reads and naturally more sales as a result.
