Here is the number one (without a single doubt in my mind) biggest mistake that people make when they start online. They try to sell right away. The online term for this is Monetize….You shouldn’t start by monetizing…Yet everybody new to the game does it.
It’s not hard to know why either…..Because of all the hype….”buy my product and you will make 100K a month with 8 clicks of your mouse and 10 minutes a day….Look at the proof below” Sound familiar?
What you are forgetting is they usually also write in their sales page that months even years went into developing, testing and trying their product. What you are also not doing is reading between the lines…Most of the time, you will be buying from an email that you received from one of their affiliates…that’s traffic the one thing you do not have when you are starting out…so that 100k a month is not coming any month soon.
Many beginners will for example start what is called an e-store where they sell widget’s. They buy a beautiful site, get a fancy domain name, and host it on the most expensive servers out there. Others will buy a cookie cutter site on a subject that they like. This site contains pre-made articles and other information on the subject they have chosen. They do this because they want to put Adsense on the site and make tons of money.
This is a great however, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news…You have about as much chance at making money than you do winning the next Powerball draw.
The only way you are going to have a chance at making money is by doing what is first important to succeed. You need to do things such as:
· Learning to be disciplined and patient
· Realizing that success will not come overnight if at all
· Always be honest
· Never Cut Corners
There are also some steps you need to follow A few main ones listed here.
· You need content….Content has always been and will always be king
o Your content needs to be original and not copied
o You content has to be relevant
o And you content must be ongoing and fresh
· Next you need Traffic….Without traffic you have no chance at making money…
o Your Traffic needs to be real traffic and not traffic that has been tricked into going to your site
o Online businesses are about information, information, information and not like the traditional business which is about location, location, location
· You next need to what is known as Pre-selling that traffic. The way you do that is by earning that visitors trust. Once you have earned that trust you might be able to sell them. How do you do that, by:
o Giving her free information
o Original information
o Given her a free product
· When all of that is done then you can start to think about making money.
After reading all this I hope you know realize that being online is not a get rich quick scheme and the more we progress, them more this is true. However, the opportunity is great and money can and will be made for years to come for the person who is ready to do things the right way.
