Affiliate Marketing as I have preached for many years, is still the best way to earn a buck online. The problem is, if you don’t chose the right affiliate marketing program, a buck might be all that you earn.

So how do you know if an affiliate program is the one to go with? Let’s take some time to review some of the important aspects to consider going forward in this lucrative industry.

To me the very first thing to consider has to be the product or service that you will be promoting. Even if this is not your product, it is your reputation that you are putting on the line. What you want in this industry is long term success and not a quick killing and never anything else afterwards because nobody trusts you anymore. You want to make sure that the product is a quality one and that it over delivers.

Make sure you study the Merchants site. If the site doesn’t sell effectively then move on to another product. One way to know if the site is good is simply by asking yourself the question, would I buy this?

Next find out what the payment model. I like Pay-per-sale and pay-per-lead to me that is the best performance for your buck or potential buck.
